This policy applies to all users of our online services and mobile applications, regardless of the domains, systems, platforms, and devices used (desktop or mobile).

1. Responsible Party and Contact Information

The responsible party for the data processing within this online offer is:

Gamopolis GmbH
Karl-Marx Str. 2, 14612 Falkensee
Managing Director: Margret Gran
Email: info@gamopolis.com

2. Basic Principles of Data Processing

We process users' personal data strictly in accordance with the GDPR and other relevant legal requirements. Data processing is carried out lawfully, transparently, and in a way that ensures the privacy and security of users. Personal data will only be processed where there is a legal basis, such as:

  • Consent by the user (Art. 6 §1(a) GDPR)
  • Necessity for the performance of a contract (Art. 6 §1(b) GDPR)
  • Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6 §1(c) GDPR)
  • Legitimate interests pursued by the controller (Art. 6 §1(f) GDPR)

We implement appropriate organizational, contractual, and technical security measures in line with current standards to safeguard personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

3. Processing of Personal Data

We collect and process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and optimize our services
  • To deliver effective customer service and technical support
  • To fulfill our contractual obligations (e.g., payment and shipping of goods)

Personal data is only transferred to third parties where necessary for billing or contract fulfillment (e.g., to payment providers or logistics services). Users' data will be deleted when it is no longer necessary for its intended purpose and provided no legal retention obligations apply.

4. Access Data Collection

We collect access data (server log files) with each visit to our website. This includes:

  • Visited website, date, and time of access
  • Browser type and version, operating system, and IP address
  • Referrer URL and the amount of data transferred

This data is processed solely for statistical purposes, ensuring the operation and security of our website. We reserve the right to examine this data retrospectively if there is a suspicion of unlawful use.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small data files stored on users' devices to enhance their experience. Gamopolis GmbH does not use cookies on its own websites. However, third-party services may use cookies, and users are informed of their use as part of pseudonymized range measurement. Users can control cookie settings in their browser and may choose to block cookies.

6. Mobile Applications

Gamopolis GmbH offers mobile applications built with Unity3D. Our mobile apps are free to download and are supported by advertising. Users may remove ads through in-app purchases.

6.1 Advertising

Our mobile apps display advertisements served through LevelPlay (IronSource), an ad mediation platform. LevelPlay mediates multiple third-party ad networks, which means your data may be shared not only with LevelPlay but also with the ad networks it mediates. Ads displayed may be personalized based on your device information and approximate location.

6.2 Data Collected by Advertising SDKs

The advertising SDK integrated in our mobile apps collects and shares the following data types:

  • Device or Other Identifiers: Including the Android Advertising ID (AAID), used for ad targeting and attribution. This data is collected, shared with ad networks, and required for app functionality.
  • Approximate Location: City or region-level location data, used to serve relevant advertisements. This data is collected and shared with ad networks.
  • App Activity: Information about app interactions such as ad clicks and views, used to measure ad engagement. This data is collected and shared with ad networks.
  • Crash Logs and Diagnostics: Used to monitor SDK performance and stability. This data is collected and shared with ad networks.

All data collected by the advertising SDK is encrypted in transit. Advertising identifiers are not processed ephemerally, as they need to persist for tracking purposes. Data collection is required for the mediation functionality of the app.

The purposes of data collection include app functionality, analytics, and advertising or marketing.

6.3 Unity3D Cloud Services

Our mobile apps use Unity3D cloud services for marketing and analytics purposes. Data processed through these services is handled in accordance with Unity's privacy policy and data processing agreements.

6.4 In-App Purchases

Users may purchase an ad-free experience through in-app purchases. When ads are removed, the advertising-related data collection described in Section 6.2 ceases. In-app purchase transactions are processed by the respective app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and are subject to their privacy policies.

6.5 Children's Privacy

If any of our apps are directed at children, we configure our ad mediation platform to operate in a child-directed mode, which limits data collection to comply with applicable regulations including COPPA and Google's policies for apps designed for children.

7. Data Deletion

Users can request that their data collected through our advertising SDKs be deleted. To make a data deletion request, please contact us at info@gamopolis.com. The advertising SDK provides mechanisms for processing data deletion requests.

Additionally, you can request the deletion of your personal data directly from ironSource/LevelPlay (part of Unity) using the following methods:

When submitting your request, you will need to provide the following to verify your identity:

  • Your email address
  • Your state/country of residence
  • Information that identifies your device (such as the Advertising ID) to assist in locating your data

Deletion requests generally cover personal data collected about your device for ad-serving and targeting purposes. If you request deletion from ironSource, this request will automatically be shared with its corporate affiliate Unity, which will also process the deletion accordingly.

8. User Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, users have the following rights:

  • Right to Access (Art. 15 GDPR): Users can request information about their personal data processed by us.
  • Right to Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): Users can request corrections to any incorrect or incomplete data.
  • Right to Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): Users can request the deletion of their personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed.

  • Right to Data Portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Users can request that their data be transferred in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to Object (Art. 21 GDPR): Users can object to the processing of their data in certain cases.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): Users have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe their data is being processed unlawfully.

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements or our data processing practices. Changes will be communicated through our website. Users are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy regularly. Where required by law, we will seek users' consent before applying any significant changes.
